bios ms 6382 version 1

Le dernier bios msi pour cette carte date du 18/11/2001 !!!
C'est la version 1.1 .

C'est pas dit que ce ne soit pas le même que tu ais dèjà ?
Assure toi d'abord de la version actuelle de ton bios .
Il y a eu le 1 et le 1.1 : pas de quoi se mélanger !
Pour l'overclock , il y a peut-être aussi des jumpers sur la carte ?
As-tu une notice ?

Pour l'instant j'ai le BIOS de HP (BIOS v6.00 PG) Version 6382303.

Il y a un upgrade à hp MSI6382_312, qui peu me donner les option pour O/C ? Pour l'instant je n'avait pas installer parceque je me demande si il y a pas d'autre mise a jour entre le 303 et le 312 ?

Il y a aussi les BIOS MSI, 6382v10 et le mise a jour 6382v11.
Je voudrais installer le BIOS MSI, pour les option O/C mais quand je boot up j'ai les messages;
"For VT8366-8233-6A62VM4BC-00 Date 12/20/2001"
"Flash type - Winbond 49F002U/5V"
"File Name to Program : W6382vms.100"
"The progam files part number does not match with your system !"
Il y à un protection ?

Est-ce que vous avait les astuce ?

Effectivement , si le bios d'origine est hp , on doit trouver dans son numéro ,le numéro d'identification de Hp et non de Msi ,ce qui fait que le programme de flashage MSI ne reconnait pas la carte comme une MSI !

Tu dois pouvoir le vérifier en etudiant le numéro du bios ?

Je crois qu'il ne te reste qu'a essayer le bios HP ou voir ( tu n'as pas répondu )si il y a des jumpers sur la carte pour changer fsb et coefficients ???

Il y a eu un 3.09 entre le 3.03 et le 3.12.

Je n'ai pas trouvé de liens gratuits ( 1 lien payant ???) dessus !
Pour les cartes video , il y a des programmes pour modifier les bios , ça doit exister pour les cartes mères ; le principe est d'extraire le bios en cours , de le modifier et ensuite de flasher ce bios modifié ; avec comme manipulation , par exemple , le changement de numéro d'identification du constructeur !!!

Logiquement, 3.12 c'est 3.09 avec des plus !

Un jumper est un cavalier ( pour un anglais !!! ): gag!
C'est un petit connecteur sur la carte mère qui permet de passer d'une option à une autre ; exemple fsb 100 ou 133 , coefficient x12 ,x13....etc .

As-tu un manuel de ta carte mère , si oui consulte le .

Ok j'ai le manuel pour MSI.
Il y a 3 jumper;
a) JBAT1 - Clear CMOS jumper
b) J10 - Buzzer / Speaker fonction
c) SW1 - CPU FSB frequency (133 MHz ou 100 MHz)- position actual est 133 MHz, donc je ne peu pas augementer ! ?
Et pour le CPU ?

Pour ton message de bios , c'est un problème de disquette de boot (Invalid keyboard code specified ) ; as-tu un clavier usb ?
Ta disquette a été faite comment ?

Je viens de re-essayer de flash le BIOS avec le version 3.12 et quand il se bloque avec le notice " Invalid keyboard code specified" j'ai taper "BIOSupdt" et voila c'est bon !
Parcontre il y a toujour pas de option pour le O/C dans le BIOS :-(

prend le logiciel fournis avec les cartes meres MSI, tu pourras monter le FSb sous Windows

Il n'avait pas de logicial fournis avec la CM parce que c'est un BIOS HP !

ben tu vas sur le site de MSI tu Dl Fuzzy Logic (ou un truc comme ça) et normalement ça devrait passer

Je viens de regarde sur le forum de MSI et plusieur person dit que il faut pas utiliser Fuzzy Logic pour le O/C voici le lien:

Ok j'ai flashier le BIOS avec MSI8632v1.1 et apres le file part n° erreur j'ai taper "BIOSupdt" mais c'est un "bad commande"!  

Purée je comprends rien !

Je te prépare une disquette qui marche avec le BIOS HP + le BIOS MSI.

Personally, I would only use the HP BIOS file. MSI BIOS files could corrupt your system (the probability exists).
The lastest HP BIOS file is as old as the MSI one.

Perhaps the BIOS would not allow you to overclock your system with a software method. Most of time, overclocking the system is possible by hardware method (dipswitches, jumpers : plastic wrapper for two pins, the pins are located on the mainboard  ).

It seems it is possible to overclock by the BIOS (Frequency/Voltage control > CPU Clock), but a XP1700+ is already on a 133Mhz bus. With a KT266 chipset, is it possible to override 133Mhz ?

Fuzzy Logic is a good idea.

I update the file, I made some mistakes.

Thanks ohill, I tried your BIOS thismorning (about 10h00)and also this afternoon (17h00), and got the following results:

Type the name of the Command Interpreter (eg. c:\Windows\Command.com

I may of made a mistake when preparing the disquette, so heres what I did:

a) Format the disquette twice.
b)Create a boot disquette MS-DOS
c) Transfered your file onto the disquette (including the fichiers in the file "11" (but not 31 or HP).
d) Restart PC with boot disc in the a drive.

To give you the background to my probleme my motherboard (MS-6832 ver.1) was made by MSI for Hp and was equiped with a Hp BIOS (which I have updated to version 3.09).
The Hp BIOS has no options to adjust for O/C and not even the temporature of the CPU !
I want to replace the Hp BIOS with the MSI BIOS (1.1) in order to have the options which I require and of course the CPU temporature.

Make a bootable floppy under the windows format method.
Copy the uncompressed files of this file on the formatted floppy.

The archive includes MSI BIOS 1.1 you want to flash and UNIFLASH, a powerful flashing utility.

Reboot your computer with your floppy in the drive, then type UNIFLASH to the DOS prompt. Select the BIOS file (W6382VMS.110).
And flash, I hope this would not destroy your computer.

euh pour moi les mobos dont le N° de série commence par MS c'est pas msi mais matsonic, ce qui me parait plus logique vu que c'est du monté en usine HP (donc on limite les frais)

Ok when I reboot I arrive in the menu "UNIFLASH" which proposes 6 options:
Write backup BIOS image to file
Flash BIOS image file to flash ROM
Flash backup Bios image to flash ROM (writing in grey and not white)
Redetect flash ROM
CMOS submenu >>
Advanced submenu >>
Quit

I chickened out before the impending doom, because I couldn't see where to select the BIOS file(W6382VMS.110).

I dont think that it is a matsonic because when I looked on the site MSI my MB looks just like it !

Make a backup of your BIOS on a floppy before starting to flash (By selecting "Write backup BIOS image to file"). You must give a name to the backup, for example BACKUP.ROM

Then select "Flash BIOS image file to flash ROM", the program will ask for a BIOS filename (W6382VMS.110), type it. Confirm and wait the end of the writing.

Eject the floppy, reboot and pray.

Sorry about the cowardly approche but after typing the BIOS file name and pressing return I got the following message:
Warning : Bootblock mismatch !! proceed anyway [y,n] ?

This is the same problem with the first flashing utility, but uniflash allows you to override this.

That means the boot sequences are different. It warns you because there is a probable possibility your computer would not boot after flashing. That would be hardly reversible.

Yes success, sorry it took me a while to come back with the good news, but I didn't realise immediatly that I had to enable my USB's in the BIOS..... therefore no internet !
