Je viens de passer au noyau 2.6.6 et à la version 4.4 de XFree86.
Mon problème est que modules agpgart, i810, i830, i810_audio et ac97_codec ne sont pas chargés au démarrage de Linux :??: Du coup je n'ai pas le direct rendering !! :fou:
Par contre si je les charge à la main avec modprobe et que je relance le serveur X, j'ai enfin ce fameux direct rendering.

il y a une technique pour que le noyau charge les modules qd il en a besoin... mais j'ai jamais bien compris comment ça marche.
Il faut mettre des alias dans /etc/modprobe.d/ puis le script update-modules genere le fichier /etc/modules.conf
Si quelqu'un peut expliquer plus precisement d'ailleur :whistle:

sinon le plus simple est de charger systematiquement les modules au demarrage, modconf le fait facilement...

Je un peu peur de m'avancer étant donner qu'il me semble que la gestion des modules à été revue avec le 2.6

Ouais ben du coup pour l'instant, je suis revenu à mon noyau 2.4.18-17 :na:
Et avec XFree86 4.4, j'ai le direct rendering dès le démarrage !! :bounce:
